How to Poach Chicken Breast

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breast
  • Water
  • Choice of Aromatics

Cooking Method

  1. Fill a saucepan full of water and add your chicken breasts. You can choose to add in some aromatics such as ginger, bay leaves, chili's or whatever you want to flavour your chicken with or just leave it plain.
  2. Once the water starts boiling, the chicken breasts should take 10-12 minutes to cook through depending on the size of the breasts.
  3. After 10 minutes, turn the stove off and let the chicken sit in the water for another 5 minutes to continue cooking through.
  4. Remove chicken from your stock and slice or shred and add to any meal for a delicious tender chicken dish.
