- Sushi Rice
- Your choice of your favourite fillings
- Soy Sauce
- Pickled Ginger
- Follow the instructions on your sushi rice packet to cook the rice. Once cooked, even the rice out onto a tray to cool and add in some rice wine vinegar and a small amount of brown sugar (dissolve this in the vinegar) and then pour over the rice and mix through.
- Allow the rice to fully cool and then you can begin rolling up some sushi! You can do this with a rolling mat but I normally find it easier without it unless you are making the inside out ones then I use the mat so it all stays together.
You can get as creative as you want with these, I have made one here with very finely sliced cucumber as the outside wrapper which was delicious. I like to make a variety of types to mix it up and then you get a taste for everything... I LOVE SUSHI
